The issue that you're having usually happens due to corrupted or missing system files. For us to isolate the root caused of it, we would like to know if you've made any changes prior to the issue.
As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest booting your computer to Safe Mode and check if the issue will persists. Choose the steps under From the sign-in screen drop down menu if your computer crashes before you can access your settings.
If the issue did not persist on it, please perform a System File Checker that will automatically check and fix corrupted or missing system files.
Note: To exit from safe mode, restart your computer and let the Windows start normally.
