I recently and accidentally ran across some things disabled on my laptop. I have a Lenovo G50-45 running the newest Windows 10. As follows:                    ijs2ifsl

cnghwassist

cdf2

Should these be disabled?

We appreciate your response. The highlighted items are currently disabled due to the following conditions:

    • Hardware specific. An example would be the Winsock IFS Driver. This is a kernel driver which is configured depending on the installed hardware ony our device.
    • Disabled by default. Items such as CD/DVD File System Reader (cdfs) and Universal Disk Format File System (udfs) are utilized based on the instruction from the device or when the need arises.

We'd recommend retaining the current configuration of your device to avoid untoward issues.

Let us know should you need further assistance.

    Hi Lisa,

Cnghwassist is a type of SYS file which is associated with Windows 10 operating system (OS). SYS files are essential component of the OS. To better understand your concern, we'd like to know the following:

    • The location on your device where you've seen the specified items. We'd recommend posting a screenshot of the window that contains the items.
    • The version and build of Windows 10 that you're using on your device. To check this, you can perform the steps posted on this link.

Note:  Some components are left disabled if there is no function or program that requires them to be active. If the users of the specified device have not manually disabled them and you're not experiencing errors whilst using the computer, we'd recommend not to change the values applied to the specified items.

We look forward to your response.

    I hope this helps.....
