How to kill 'Antimalware Process'

I don't want an antimalware service running on my PC. I believe its slowing down my system considerably.

So far I tried

  1. Turning off Windows Defender, but the process is still running
  2. Ending it from Task Manager, it says "The operation could not be completed... Access is denied"
  3. Using registry edit to unsuccessfully disable this

I need help in turning this off completely.

The Windows 10 OS provides uninterrupted real-time AV protection by turning Windows Defender off whenever a third-party AV app is installed and registers itself as an antivirus provider – and by then turning Defender back on again in the event that the third-party AV app is uninstalled. If you’re not happy with Defender, then follow the steps in this thread to replace it with another free AV app:

Is the name of the process "Antimalware Process"? If so, it might be malware itself. Try uninstalling programs that you don't recognize from the Control Panel, and if nothing else, right click the process on the task manager and select Open File Location and post it here.
