Hi All,

Just required the below information.
We are in the progress of SCOM 2019 installtion,it is regarding the firewall ports for ACS.
We wanted to know which direction the ports needs to be enabled.

From the below SCOM 2019 ports link it says that ACS DB to ACS collector services (Management server (Audit Collection Services collector )1433/TCP <--- Audit Collection Services database)

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scom/plan-security-config-firewall?view=sc-om-2019

However from the SCOM 2012 Link it is the other way (Management server (Audit Collection Services collector)1433/TCP ---> Audit Collection Services database)
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/system-center/system-center-2012-R2/jj656649(v=sc.12)?redirectedfrom=MSDN

Please let us know which is the correct direction we need to use between collector service and collector Database.

Regards,
Ravi Shankar

    Hi @shankar431 ,

I think the article regarding SCOM 2019 is the one that is most probably incorrect . The management servers initiates all the connections (SDK Service) either for read or write operations in the DB. I don't see why ACS should have the opposite logic.
