Hi Max,

SyncHost.exe may be a virus. EXE ("executable") files are files that contain step-by-step instructions that a computer follows to carry out a function.

To be on the safe side, we recommend that you scan your PC by downloading Microsoft Safety Scanner. It is a free downloadable security tool that provides on-demand scanning and helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

    Thank you.

"May be a virus" is not the definitive answer I was looking for.  SyncHost it keeps reappearing on my heavily infected notebook.  I also came across it on a new Windows 10 PC at the Federal Office I work at which means McAfee is not catching it.  Questions about SyncHost from a few years ago were received answers that it was NOT a Microsoft program.  As far as I am concerned, its a virus. Why take a chance? Whack it.

    Thanks again for your help.
