Just the last week every time I go to shut down "Wtouch_message_window" prevents shutdown by about 10 seconds.

I've tried using the "System File Checker" to no avail, how do I stop this?

Thanks for the reply, I've solved the issue though! It turned out to be out of date Wacom tablet drivers!

This relates to the touch input system in Windows 10.

What is the make and model of your computer?

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Device Manager

    Expand Human Interface Device

Right click HID Compliant Touch screen

    Click Disable

    Exit Device Manager

    Restart your computer

    Enable the touch screen again.

    Other things you can try:

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Task Manager

    Select the Processes tab

Scroll down to Windows Explorer then select it

    Click Restart

    If that does not work:

    uninstall your display driver:

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Device Manager

    Expand Display adapters

Right click the current display adapter

    Click Uninstall

    Exit Device Manager

    Restart

If none of the above work, then you should perform a repair upgrade:
