Computer does not respond to mouse clicks

Question

Hi all,

I'm using Microsoft Arc mouse on Surface pro 4 (Windows 10). Everything was working fine until

today when my Surface stopped responding to mouse clicks. I can move the mouse

pointer and I can scroll, but when I click on any link or file to open I get no response.

This is what I've tried:

1- Removed the Bluetooth mouse and re-connected it.

2- Updated the driver in Device Manager

3- Uninstalled it from Device manager and restarted Windows.

4- Updated windows 10

Despite all that, and the fact that I can scroll and move the pointer, I get NO click response.

Any help is appreciated.

I may eventually get a new one.

It was working fine for some time.

I like the bluetooth arc-style mouse.

one other option may be of changing your mouse.

The right mouse for you is the one that feels right in your hand. Now it’s over to you. What mouse do you use? And what factors do you consider when buying one?

It's working better now. I still sometimes have to click on a file several times before it opens.
