Hi,
The error code that has appeared when you’ve tried to play a DVD may be caused by an incompatible or faulty device driver or conflicts with an upgrade that was installed. Here some methods that you can use to resolve this issue:
Method 1: Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type control in the Run dialog box, then hit Enter.
- Under the Hardware and Sound item, click Configure a device. Provide an administrator password if prompted or provide confirmation.
Method 2: Check BIOS settings and chipset drivers.
- Check the drive if it’s activated in the BIOS. BIOS systems may vary by device. If you’re unfamiliar on how to verify the drive settings on your device’s BIOS, we suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your device.
- You may also verify with the manufacturer of the computer of the drive came with it, or if it was purchased separately by the manufacturer that the chipset driversfor the device are current.
Method 3: Update or reinstall the driver.
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box, then press Enter. Type the password, or select Allow, if you’re prompted for an administrator password.
- In Device Manager, expand DVD/CD-ROM devices, right-click the CD and DVD devices, and then select Uninstall.
- Select OK if you’re prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device.
