I am trying to pair my AirPods with my Surface Pro 2017 and it has been a nightmare. It just doesn't work most of the time, and on the unique occasion when they work, it stops within a 5 minute period.

I checked the drivers that are and Windows 10 (Fall Creator's Update) says that I have the best Bluetooth driver available. However, it shows a 2006

Any ideas on how I can update this driver?

Are the airpods paired with Windows?

Try reinstalling the driver for bluetooth.

If you right click the start button and choose device manager. In the list, expand the Bluetooth section. Right click the bluetooth device and choose uninstall device. Once completed, reboot your machine, and windows should reinstall the driver.

As Justin posted above, you can also download the driver from Microsoft.

Could you try downloading one of these drivers? I believe you would need the bottom one:

    SurfacePro_Win10_16299_1710007_0.msi

Let me know if this doesn't work.
