I want to set "On resume, display logon screen" so that I will not be required to enter a password or PIN after every time I leave my laptop for a few seconds. I understand how this setting works, but it has not worked since the most recent Windows 10 update. How can I fix this nuisance?

Hi Leron,

If you don't want to enter your PIN/password everytime you've been away, kindly follow the steps below:

Method 1:

  1. Open Settings, and click on Personalization.
  2. Click on Lock screen then select Screen saver settings.
  3. Uncheck (turn off) the On resume, display logon screen box.
  4. Click on OK then Apply.

Method 2:

  1. Open Settings, and click on Accounts.
  2. Click on the Sign-in options, and select Never under Require sign-in section.

Method 3:

  1. On the Search bar, type Power plan and select Choose a power plan.
  2. On your current chosen power plan, click on Change plan settings then click on Change advanced power settings.
  3. Click on the Change settings that are currently unavailable link.
  4. Set the Require a password on wakeup settings to No, and click on OK, then Apply.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
