Memory Issue.

Anonymous

I Recently built a computer two weeks ago, I've randomly got two bluescreens since the build. I ran the windows memtest today and received the error "The Windows Memory Diagnostic tested the computer's memory and detected hardware errors. To identify and repair these problems, contact the computer manufacturer". Now i'm not sure if this means i need to replace ram, or if there is another issue. Here are the logs from the event viewer.

If there is no memory errors and PC runs fine, you may leave things as they are until you'll need to add a memory.

Or you may ask a seller for mobo testing.

Unfortunately there are some fine details in CPU, motherboard and memory interaction.

Please look whether there are some remarks in memory compatibility list. May they can explain why memory does not work in 2/4 slots.

In general it may be less memory problems when one buys memory modules without heatsinks - this is my opinion.

Sorry, did not note you've marked my message as did not solve your problem. Ok, solve it yourself.

Like I said i'm new to computer speak, I meant no offence by marking it as unsolved. I do appreciate your help, and your response. The ram is compatible with my mobo, I had the ram in slots in 2/4 on my mobo (the slots the manual told me to put the ram in) and that's when i got the memory error with the windows memory diagnostic tool, telling me the hardware was faulty. Either way I've slotted the ram in 1/3 and run the memory test again and there was no error. Not sure if this will fix my problem, or if my mobo is bad, but thank you for your help and again, I meant no offence with marking it as unsolved.

    Hi,

please check whether memory modules are in motherboard's compatibility list.

Please check whether memory operating mode corresponds recommended memory parameters.

    Last solution - replace memory.

Go to motherboard manufacturer site, go to Support section, download memory compatibility list. Check your memory.

If you'll find it in list go to step two: at memory manufacturer site download memory manual.

Compare memory settings in manual and in BIOS.

I'm sorry i'm fairly new to computer speak, is it possible for you to explain what that actually means?
