Windows Update Failed Error Code 800F0203

Hello.

Has anyone else had this issue? I am not a computer expert and I have spent way too much time trying to resolve this issue. My apology upfront for any frustration that may come across when reading this post. My frustration is really with Microsoft and the absolutely useless/dead web-page

links that Windows Update information pop up/results screen includes as a way to find a solution/troubleshoot/get information for a failed install/download-error code. See links that I clicked on below for examples. Anyway, you'll find my issue and the steps I've attempted to resolve the issue on my own below the 2 link examples. Please know that I am grateful for this forum and the moderator's, Lizette Ags, response/suggested solution to Shazz's 2/17/18 RE Error Code 800F0831 posted question. Unfortunately, the diagnostic tool she suggested did not solve my problem.

Thank you in advance for reading this lengthy post and for any ideas you can suggest to resolve this issue.

Kind regards,

VAIO SVF1521KCXB

Examples of Microsoft"s Windows Update links

Ex #1 Clicked on "More Information" (https://sysdev.microsoft.com/en-US/Hardware/support/default.aspx )

Took me to MircroSoft Hardware Dev Center ---> Driver Information --> "Driver Information Coming Soon" --> "Thank you for using Windows Update. The More Information feature is not available yet. We apologize for any inconvenience." {***WHY would you go live with this feature if it is still in development?)

Ex #2 Clicked on "Support Information" link (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/select?target=hub )

Took me to a page that has a stupid blank face emoji and underneath a blurb "Try searing for what you need."

Well I did that and found nothing when I searched for error 800F0203.

    Hello,

I am Sumit, an Independent advisor and a Microsoft MVP here to help.

Regarding your issue, I would first suggest is to

Try resetting Windows updates using an automatic script. See:

    http://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2015/12/windows...

Make sure you run the script as an administrator.
