EVERYTHING is Read Only.

So after I booted up my computer this morning, all of my files, folders, and directories are Read Only. I have tried to uncheck the Read Only boxes, I have taken ownership of everything, and I don't have Controlled Folder Access enabled. Every time I try and set my username folder in "C:/Users" it changes back to read only. I can't edit files ANYWHERE. Desktop is Read Only, Pictures is Read Only, Documents, Videos, the list goes on. My last resort is to use the "Fresh Start" option, although it probably won't help. Any help is appreciated, please, I'm at my wit's end.

I've seen people say this a lot on other forums, but the main problem is, while editing the properties, for example, "Media Created" for MP4 files (This seems to be the file type that I can't edit) it gives me this:

This is the case for any directory I try and edit that file (or any other MP4) in. I can't help but feel that it's related to something with folders being Read Only.

The Documents folder still has the black square mark under Read Only, and every other folder is the same.

Windows ignores the read-only flag for folders. It has no effect. What matters is whether you can open and save your files.

What happens when you do this?

    1. Mark the code line below, then press Ctrl+C to copy it.
    2. Press the Windows key + R
    3. Press Ctrl+V to paste the code line.
    4. Press Enter.

    What do you see?

    Are your documents still write-protected?

    cmd /c attrib /s -r "%UserProfile%\documents\*.*" & pause

    Open Defender

    VT&P>>Ransomware>>TURN OFF FCA

    restart PC

If this does not work, I will show you how to take ownership or full control of C:\ and be able to change the attributes.

Actually that is if Fredricks method does not work either as I would do that first anyways.

Some files, mainly pictures, are able to be edited through the Properties menu again, although many still aren't, such as mp4 files. Although before running that command, I was able to edit the "Date Taken" option on pictures previously, so it may just be certain file types. The Documents folder still has the black square mark under Read Only, and every other folder is the same.
