Touch screen not working

In device manager, it should be coming up under HID compatible devices but it is listed as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed). I've tried searching for drivers, I've tried rebooting so many times. Removing and installing the device. Tried reinstalling windows 10 (which fixed it for a day), then it failed again.

I just can't find the problem to fix my touch screen, everything else is working.

    Hi Joshua

Is that device showing as just a HID device, or is there a specific device driver for your touchscreen?

What is the Make and exact Model No. of your device - that will be printed on a sticker on the bottom casing of your device . . .

hi Josh. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

You'll need to install the driver. Did you go to the PC maker's Support Downloads web page for your exact model, Serial Number or Dell tag number on sticker on the PC?

If it's not under WIndows 10 drivers, try WIndows 8.1 or 8, even 7.

If not found trace the missing driver's Hardware ID using the steps here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
