    Properties view shows information on the current selected element.

    In demo videos the element selected is a piece of XAML, I can see that the selected tab is MainPage.xaml.

    In your screenshot the selected tab is code behind MainPage.xaml.cs.

    Select tab MainPage.xaml and check if Properties view shoes what you want.
