Microsoft RDP Macmini USB-C external monitor

I am running Microsoft Remote Desktop (latest version) on the 2020 Mac mini. I connected a 4K LG USB-C monitor to the Mac. the Remote Desktop connects without a problem, only are all mouse actions very laggy. when I click something, it takes up to 15 seconds to do the action. I also had this issue running a MacBook Pro 15" late 2016 connected to the USB-C monitor.

I noticed that your external monitor is a 4K Screen. The mouse action laggy issue might be caused by that.
