I have a problem with one drive has been processing 3 changes for the last 3 days since I added 3 photos to the one drive. Why is this taking so long on my Laptop when the changes were updated rapidly when accessed from my desktop?

    hello AlanHodgson1

try this and let me know if it helps

Press Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run window.

Type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset and click OK.

In the notification area of your taskbar, the OneDrive icon will disappear and re-appears after 1-2 minutes. If it doesn't re-appear, open the Run window again and type %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe.

have re-set the Onedrive as instructed and this has made things worse. After re-setting onedrive  it started to download the 60Gb of files and when finished a couple of hours later is still has over 20,000 files remaining with a message that the files are updating!

    Thanks for trying to help.

    Settings / Apps / OneDrive /  advanced / Reset

Might look at other settings while there.

    Lets try to reset Onedrive

    1. Press the Windows key + R.

In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset

After 2 or 3 minutes OneDrive should start by itself, sometimes does not open.

In the Run window, enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe

    Hope it works
