Camera Default Audio and Changing it.
I was looking for a solution in here and came across a post asking how to set the default microphone to an external microphone when using camera for Windows 10. After stumbling around in my computer settings I was able to set my camera to record audio from my external mic.
Open Camera and minimize it.
Open Settings
open App Volume and Device Preferences
Set Default mic for camera to whichever plug and play mic you have attached to your computer.
This will only be view-able if you have your camera open. Once you close the camera the option to change the default to your external mic will be null.
I tested this out by expanding camera and taking a recording only scraping and lightly tapping the foam on my mic. Sure enough, bam! it worked!! I also closed the camera and reopened it. Checked the settings and it was still set to record from my external mic. I hope this helps someone looking for a solution.
