Windows version update failure

I have a acer spin 7. It is running with Windows 10 version 1607. I need to update the version, but it fails repeatedly to boot after downloading.  I've read lots of info and it seems that the problem stems from the "trusted platform module 2.0. It gets an error message that device cannot start code 10 and a protocol error between driver and device c0000186. I checked and the driver is the most recent. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I trying the DaveM121's recommendations. Created ISO file, disabled Norton anti-virus, and disconnected from the internet.  It still failed on reboot and restored my old version of Widows.

I did get a different error code.  This time it was 0x8007025d-0x2000c.

Hi , 1607 is no longer the latest version of Windows 10, 1803 has been released, you should go straight to that version to bring your system up to date and make all previous updates obsolete . . .

With these major upgrades, the most successful method is to upgrade from the Windows 10 ISO - you download the ISO and then perform an Offline Upgrade

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), then choose ISO

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Uninstall any 3rd party Anti-virus - this is a known issue with 1803

Then, double click it and then run Setup.exe to begin the upgrade . . .

I am a fellow community member who likes to help my peers when able.
Microsoft has put together a great troubleshooter to help identify and fix issues with Windows Updates. I would begin by running the Windows Update Troubleshooter
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402732...

There is also a Windows Update repair tool that you can try here
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/...

Or if you wish to manually update please visit the following link and follow the instructions for downloading and installing the latest version of Windows 10
