Did you try right clicking the Paperport 14 executable, click Properties, click Compatibility then uncheck the compatibility mode option there?

I am running Windows 10, 64-bit. When I try to open PaperPort 14 professionals by Nuance I received the error message that the program appears to be operating in Windows XP compatibility mode and recommended disabling the compatibility mode on PaperPort.exe. For additional information I was referred to technote 6629 that I cannot find on either the Microsoft are the Nuance support sites. Any suggestions?
