Windows
store and other first-party windows apps say that I am not connected to the internet, even though I am, and give the 0x80072EFD error code. The windows update and Windows apps troubleshooters
could not find any problems. Even sfc /scannow did not find any problems. However, if I use a VPN and connect to a USA server, Windows store loads and I am able to download and install apps.

The current region is set to my country, India.
I followed all the methods in that article, except the "repair windows" one, but none of them fixed the issue.

None of these methods fixed the issue. Not even the re-registering store method.
