    Hi MinnesotaMidget,

Error 0XC00000A2 was generated from using the File Explorer. To ensure that we can provide the appropriate resolution for your concerns with write protection error, we’d like to ask you a few questions:

    • Which current version or build of Windows device are you using? To know, press Windows + R to open the Run window. Type winver and press Enter. A new window will open showing the version and build number of your Windows device.
    • What were the recent changes made on your computer before you experienced this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far on your end?
    • Can we have a screenshot of this error message?
    • Does your hard drive encrypted or not?
    • What are the anti-virus programs you're using?
    • What is the exact make and model of your computer?
    • How often do you get this error message?
    • Lastly, can you give us a walkthrough or a feedback on the activity you've performing that resulting to receive this error message?

Note: If you have other anti-viruses installed on your computer, disable them all completely and enable Windows Defender only. This could get your programs to a conflict with your operating system’s own security features.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
