    Is it written as  partmgr or PartMgr?   The latter is the correct one (and remember to reboot your computer if you have needed to make this change).

    If this still doesn't work, and it sometimes doesn't, then there are no real options left for you.   You could try reinstalling FSX again (but you may not want to in case you have many add ons that will all need reinstalling or to run the risk of another problem developing).   Win10 has been quite troublesome in this regard for many.

    You may know about FSX-Steam Edition.   This is a good option at a reasonable price to replace FSX boxed version.  Otherwise, for the extra cost, Prepar3d (by Lockheed Martin) is the way to go, as it's a 64 bit Sim and continually being updated and developed.

    Hi James,

    I'm not sure whether you have tried this fix, but the following is generally used to correct activation issues with FSX and/or Acceleration.   However, it hasn't worked for all, but worth a try.   However, be careful when entering the System Registry and changing values, as an incorrect entry can render the app/program useless.  You may want to back up your Registry if you need to:

    1. Close FSX and run Registry Editor (press Windows key + R and type   regedit    and     Ok)
    2. Expand the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4d36e967-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

    1. After you find the folder, double-click Upperfilters on the right side.
    2. Delete any value there and type in   PartMgr  (note, this is case sensitive;  type it as shown here) and click OK.

    5. Close Registry Editor and reboot Computer.

    1. Start FSX and check whether the Activation box comes up.   If so, re-insert your Product Key.  Hope this helps you.
