disc space and battery problems

Question

hi  i have a HP laptop windows 10 i have not been able to download the newest version of the windows update as its saying i dont have enough disc space ? i have tried the disc cleaner . but the programmes i have on my pc i do not want rid off , for the update its saying i need at least 8GB of space ? other than get a external hard drive i cannot think what to do ? any help is appreciated?

 i also am having problems with the battery , my old one stopped charging , so i have recently bought another one

 problem is the icon in the bottom right hand corner is saying plugged on not charging?

i think its odd as when i turn off the latop close it down and leave the cable plugged in, turn it back on its clearly charging up?

 but not charging when on ?

ive tried the take the battery off unplug  and leave it for a while then put it all back together  nothing is working?

 any help is much appreciated  ive even looked in control panel where it says  about deleting the battery thing forgot what the initials are to delete it ?

 even that is not in the panel/

-> To illustrate your problem, please open the Disk Manager (diskmgmt.msc), then use snippingtool.exe to take a snapshot of the Disk Manager frame. Save the snapshot to your desktop, then attach it to your reply.

 im not brilliant with computers i  have found the disk manager after 10 minutes however i do not know what this snipping tool thing is . i have typed it in but comes up something to do with america? 

"SnippingTool" is a terrific utility that you would not want to do without after you have used it a few times. Right-click any blank area on your desktop, left-click New, then Shortcut. Now type snippingtool and press Enter a couple of times. This will create the Snipping Tool shortcut on your desktop.
