converting from .txt to .html

I'm just now learning the basics of html and I'm having some trouble with file format. You see I've saved the document as (.html)--and yet, when I open it in a browser, it shows all of the html code. What's more, the browsing tab says (.html) twice. Before you suggest it, yes, I have gone to the dropdown box and selected "All Files" to save it under. What am I doing wrong?

Never mind, I figured it out. I had it saved in Notepad under all files in (.html) format, but I had yet to save it as (.html) in Sublime Text--the program I'm using to edit code. I hope this will at least be helpful to someone else who runs into the same problem.

    Hi showes759

There is nothing wrong with our code

However, if you look at your screenshot, Windows is only recognizing the top file of the 4 files as a HTML file, you need to be more careful with your file naming

Copy that code into the top of those 4 files and save that file.

Then right click that file and choose Open with

Try opening it with Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge individually to see if it renders correctly in each browser . . .
