I struggled to get my BH9 headset paired with my Asus laptop. Since managing this, I now have a small window permanently open saying 'configuring windows services'. Is there any way of closing this display please?

It could be your Asus bluetooth managing app set to automatically run on very Windows startup. Can you send us a screenshot?
For now, try disabling it by following the steps in this article. On Step 6, look for any Bluetooth services, select it then click Disable. Give it a try.
