Hello All,

I have a problem that I use IE browser, then for some web I key username and password. I hope the browser can remember my username and password.
I found the IE web credentials are stored on the following folder,
70531-password-local-path.png

Now I want to roaming the AppData\Local folder to another drive, ex: D:\
I referenced the web,
https://liquidwarelabs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/210634163-How-To-Make-APPDATA-and-LOCALAPPDATA-Environment-Variables-Follow-The-Registry-Keys
to modify the registry key

HKEY_USERS\DefaultUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Set Local AppData to D:\Appdata\Local

But when I login to the system, the startup menu and search bar does not use.
in event log, I found the following error
70457-localappdata-startup-menu-error.png

Is there a way with group policy or otherwise to redirect this local application folder

My client computer is Windows10, and Windows 2012R2 Server
Many Thanks.

    Hello @poling chen ,

    Thank you for posting here.

Based on my resear and test in my lab, that only the Appdata\Roaming folder is redirected. The Appdata\Local and Appdata\LocalLow folders are not redirected.

Here is the test result in my lab.

I configured the GPO setting User Configuration\Policies\Windwos Settings\Folder Redirection\AppData(Roaming) and applied it to one domain user (B\yu2).

Here are two similar cases for your reserence.

    roaming profile vs folder redirection

    Appdata redirection and Roaming Profiles

It seems we can not roaming the AppData\Local folder.

Hope the information above is helpful.
