I am running Windows 10 on the same motherboard and it works perfectly.
Windows 10 Compatible?
Greetings Microsoft Community!
Just wanted to ask about this Motherboard:
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2 R2 AM3+
I was planning on installing a fresh Win 10 OS on it and use the key I ordered a few days ago, the problem is while looking it up I noticed that it possibly may not be able to run it at all, I also recently made a Windows 10 Boot Drive and tried it on a computer and seems to work smoothly, but when I tried it on my old Pegatron 2A99 Motherboard it doesn't seem to want to read it or can't, I am worried that when me new motherboard comes this case will be the same, can someone please confirm if the new Motherboard will be able to run Windows 10 64 bit, please?
And also the issue with my Pegatron 2A99 not reading my Win 10 Boot can someone also help me with that?
Thank You! I await your replies!

2018-09-11T11:26:28+00:00 Update on the 2A99: It seems the problem is the on-board Graphics on the Motherboard, I say this because while using MediaCreationTool and it's Upgrade Feature it mentions how the Graphics as mentioned seems to conflict with the Windows 10 OS, which means I either have to get a new Motherboard or a dedicated GPU.
I'll post more Updates as I walk it through.

2018-09-11T04:07:59+00:00 GA-78LMT-S2 R2 AM3+ with an AMD Athlon II x64 processor. Though somewhat old hardware, but it works great on Windows 10.
Yes. I did clean install Windows 10 recently on it.

2018-09-10T22:48:57+00:00 Hi HerpDerpDerpHerp,
My concern will be drivers for your motherboard. These provide the communication between hardware and operating system (Windows 10 in this instance).
If you wish to try, you could install Windows 10 without a product key and test how it runs for a few days. You can download the latest Windows 10 media from the following website by selecting 'Download tool now': https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/win...
Please let me know how it goes,
Nathan

2018-09-10T22:26:55+00:00 Hi HerpDerpDerpHerp,
The Gigabyte website for this motherboard states: 'Support for Windows 7/ XP' (from https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-78LMT-S...)
I would suggest using a newer motherboard so you don't run into any problems going forward.
Hope this helps,
Nathan
