Error Restoring Network Connections

I am using Windows 10.

For years I was able to connect to my network drives from my file explorer.  The Network drives are mapped so, its a one click short cut.

Recently however, I am getting an error and can't connect... until today I would just restart my computer (what a hassle) and it would work again.

Today that stopped.  I can't get in...

Help please.

Hello I am a fellow community member here to help. I know this is very frustrating. Many users have found home networking difficulties since the spring 2018 updates. Below are two guides which have helped many to resolve these issues

If its a WD drive, try Mapping the drive again in File Explorer.

If you are trying to log onto it, use your current account username and password.

Open Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status

    Scroll to the bottom

    Click Network and Sharing Center

    Click Change advanced sharing settings

    Expand All Networks

    Under Password protected sharing

Switch between 'Turn on password protected sharing and Turn off password protected sharing'

Then choose 'Turn off password protected sharing'

    Then click 'Save changes'

    Also:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: optionalfeatures.exe

    Hit Enter

Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support

    Tick the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client

Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal and

    Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Server

    Click OK

    Restart if prompted.
