Window 10 computer cannot see other computers on a LAN

Very frustrating. I've got a small business with ten computers coming on and off a LAN. All current Win 10 Pro or Home. About a month ago (before the latest major update) one computer stopped seeing the other computers and their shared folders in File Explorer. In Network, LAN attached devices, such as printers, are there, but no other computers. Yet, all the other computers on the network can see this computer and access it's shared folders. Internet access appears fine. One of the attached devices is a NAS, which the computer sees, but cannot see the shared folders.

I've tried everything I can think of, including reinstalling Windows, stopping sharing and starting it again, running troubleshooter, reenabling network discovery, etc. Anything else to try?

Open Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status

    Scroll to the bottom

    Click Network and Sharing Center

    Click Change advanced sharing settings

    Expand All Networks

    Under Password protected sharing

Switch between 'Turn on password protected sharing and Turn off password protected sharing'

Then choose 'Turn off password protected sharing'

    Then click 'Save changes'

    Also:

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: optionalfeatures.exe

    Hit Enter

Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support

    Tick the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client

Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal and

    Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Server

    Click OK

    Restart if prompted.

    Other things you can try...

    • Try browsing to some of the computers manually, press Windows key + R, type: \computername, hit Enter
    • Press Windows key + R

    Type: services.msc

    Hit Enter

    1. Start the "Function Discovery Provider Host" and "Function Discovery Resource Publication" services, and then set them toAutomatic (Delayed Start).
    2. When you open Explorer Network, enable network discovery when you are prompted.

Press Windows key + X > computer management-->shared folders--> choose the shared folder, right click it then click Properties > Share Permissions -->protection that everyone can read and execute, see folder contents and read permissions.

Ok, thank you for the reply. Followed all instructions. Two steps forward, one back.

Now on that computer, "A", I can see all the other computers and access their shared files. I can see the NAS, but get error "Windows cannot access \NAS Check the spelling of the name...". The other computers can still see computer A, but when I try to connect I get the error "Windows cannot access \A\shared. You do not have permission..." The folder appears to still be shared under the folder properties. Also, it now takes a LONG time after logging on to the computer for all the functions to be displayed.
