Bluetooth speaker - volume control issue

Hi

My speaker is Edifier R1700BT. All used to work great, I was able to control volume from Windows, it was independent from the physical control on the speaker. (I have Windows 10 nootebook with internal bluetooth card)

Then I did 1803 update.

Now when i press button "volume up" speaker makes "beep", and the volume does not change, only when it "0" then it mutes. My volume control is now binnary 1-0 (100% or nothing) and it beeps every 2% step what is very ennoying.

How can I repair some settings to set previous version of volume regulation again? I tried to disconnect speaker, remove it from device manger, update drives, but it didnt help.

Krzysztof

@probably worth to add, that via minijack everything is fine

Can confirm, rollback of bluetooth driver per steps above is a solid workaround.

I have Edifier 1700BT, Windows 10, Toshiba and Dell notebooks.

    All issues resolved after rollback.

Used 'RtkAvrcpCtrlr.inf' file from the 'Win8X64' folder.

    Worked like magic.

Thanks to all for the guidance/assistance.

No luck - my laptop drivers don't match anything in that link and the old Dell audio and Bluetooth drivers don't fix it.  I guess I'll have to wait for MS or whoever to fix it.  No love for MS on this one.

    Hi Victor,

I would like to know more about the issue that you're encountering. What is the build and version of your Windows 10? What is the driver version of your R1700BT Bluetooth Speaker? Here's how to check the driver version:

    1. Open "Device Manager" from Start menu or search in Start menu.
    2. Expand the respective component driver which you would like to check and right-click on it, select "Properties".
    3. Go to **"**Driver" tab and you will see the "Driver Version".

Furthermore, as an initial troubleshooting step, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the name of the device, and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes.
