Graph API subscriptions - getting unreasonable amout of updates for a specific user

Hi all,

We've developed an integration between Confluence and Outlook Calendar to create meeting pages. These pages contain meeting/event details from the user's calendar and get automatically updated. For this reason we watch the user's calendar with a subscription. (See details on the App our website or on AppSource). So far so good.

After a year or so in production, we have now 1 user which sends a notification and update for an event every 1-2 seconds, 24hours long. The reported changed events however seem to contain no changes at all. We get them with the appropriate query including the delta token. This update produces a lot of requests and spams our logs etc. - We want to find out what happens.

Anyone had this problem before? Any way to contact microsoft or someone to find out if this is a Bug in their subscription channels mechanism?

Thank you so much any help is appreciated.

Greetings
Lukas

    • Outside of your code, you can try to repro the issue (for the above user) using Graph Explorer or POSTMAN and see if you can repro the issue or not.
