Administrator issue

Hello,

While installing any software like Norton Antivirus giving an error as "Access Denied" You Need to be an administrator to perform this action.

I am the primary user of this machine. I tried resetting the password and the pin. I dont know how to make this machine as an Administrator accessible to install any new Apps or software. Kindly help please. Thank You.

    Windows has 2 classes of userids. You are using a "standard". It has basic access to Windows. When you install applications that modify the Windows you need to give the application "Administrator" access through the "UAC" prompt you were given.

    Then when you get prompted for admin you give it the id and password.
