I am using Windows 10 Home , and I am using the administrator account in my pc. the problem is that when ever i sign in into the windows it is showing my email instead of my name. I tried to change the name in control panel but the option is missing. So I tried another way through netplwiz but the success is only for once and when i log in again it keeps showing the mail id not my name. I am tired of trying things to over throw the problem... please help me  with this

    Hi Hari,

Do you log into your PC with a Microsoft Account?

    If so:

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

    Go to Your info

    Click Manage my Microsoft account

On the left, under your profile image, click More Options

    Click Edit profile

Under the current name, click Edit Name

From there you can change you Name

    Click the Save button . . .

In my profile it is written that ....."Your account's primary alias is displayed on your Microsoft devices (such as a Windows PC, Xbox, or Windows Phone), and you can choose a different alias to be the primary one at any time."  and there my email id is my primary alias . Along with that it also shows my name in "your info" tab. So what can i do to change the primary alias to my name not the email id.

go to settings -> accounts -> sign- in options

under privacy, turn off "show my account details (eg email address) on sign in screen

if it still shows your email address and not your name

sign into your microsoft account https://account.microsoft.com

click on "your info" at the top of the page and check that your 'name' is not set as your email address, if it is click edit name
