Memory usage in Task Manager

Trying to troubleshoot memory usage in the VPS.

The server itesef has 24 GB RAM available, and around 70-90% is constantly being in use.

The most resource-heavy process we have is MySQL, which is configured to roughly take 3 GB of memory.

From resource monitor and absolute value I can see, that it's using 2.6 GB at the moment. however if I switch value to %, it becomes 30%

I would like to know, how does Task manager calculates this percentage value, and whether there is any possible issue in displaying the results.

Please check the screenshots below for some visual aid.

Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

We're currently investigating the issue from our side as well:

It looks like the operating system takes some of the memory for itself, and after that what's left is calculated as percentage.

I can't confirm, that's how it's being calculated, but from what I've being seeing so far, that's the most likely scenario.

It is being managed by your Windows and it is the best scenario and you don't have to be worry and when your system required more memory, it will release more space in memory and it is for optimization of your system's energy.

You could manage part of it from System properties and under Advanced system settings and under Performance tab and Advance.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

If possible, can you please go into details of the suspended mode? Espesially where it can be set and/or checked?

Google searching the term, it displays information on OS sleep mode, which is definitely not the case here.

Firstly, you may add picture directly in this forum, you could just open new post or reply and click on picture icon, near the table to upload pictures and screenshots in the post.

Task Manager calculate based on available memory and how much of it has been used. It could be a case that part of your memory is in suspend mode and only available and in used memory is being calculated.
