Greetings

I have an issue with my laptop. Whenever my game's resolution is less than my native Resolution (1920x1080) the game will show up in a window and the screen in the background will keep on going from high res to low res, until i close the game from the task manager. In the meantime, i cannot play thr game or do anything in that window until its back at 1080p. Furthermore, on some games i cannot go play at all of the screen resolution is lower than my native. The display becomes black and all i can see is a small grey rectangle in the top left corner, similar to the legacy 95/98 verdion of windows taskbar style. Please help me fix this

I've tried everything in the troubleshooting options, except the colour and depth options.

As soon as the games go full screen, they minimize as long as the resolution is lower than native. A way to bypass is to lower ky screen resolution, and tgen it works, but I can't be doing that all the time.

Basically most of my games do this. Examples include DMC: Devil May Cry, Crysis 3, Dragon Age 2, Far Cry 3, etc.

    Hi Vextorite,

Let's try to isolate this issue so that we could find a way for you to play your games normally on your computer. Kindly provide us the following information below:

    • Can you tell us the names of those games that have lower resolutions?
    • Are you getting the same issue even if the games run in Full-screen mode?
    • Can you tell us any troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?

In the meantime, I recommend that you check if your Windows 10 is updated as well as the drivers so that we can ensure that it doesn't affect the issue.

We look forward to your reply.
