Regarding windows hello

The windows hello feature is not available in my device though I have a fingerprint scanner and my bio metrics device driver has been updated. My laptop is Dell Latitude 7390.

    It's not enough that you have a fingerprint scanner ... it has to be a fingerprint scanner that the manufacturer supports on Windows 10.

    Likewise, it doesn't matter if your device driver is the most up-to-date device driver aavailable ... your device driver has to be compatible with Windows 10.

    In your case, Dell knows the answer.

    I followed all the steps and yet I'm still having the same issue.  My laptop make is Dell - Latitude 7390.

    Please try these -

    1. Run Built-in & Guided Walk through Windows Update troubleshooter

    Built-in : Type troubleshoot in Windows Start Search box > Click Troubleshoot > Click Windows update > Troubleshoot

    2 Use the Hardware & Devices Troubleshooter

    Type Troubleshoot in Windows Start Search box > Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down & Click Hardware & Devices > Click Run the Troubleshooter & follow on-screen directions > Restart the computer after troubleshooting is completed

    1. Actions Related to Finger print reader

    Windows Key+X > Device Manager > Expand Biometric Devices > Right Click on the entry below > Properties > Driver Tab >

    A. Roll Back - If Roll back driver is enabled, roll it back

    B. Uninstall - Uninstall Device and restart to reinstall it automatically

    C. Update - Download the driver from computer manufacturer's website and reinstall (If you have problems, let me know know your computer's make and model)
