Background session auto login

Hello,

I encounter an issue with Windows 10 (Education version). When I start the computer, and my wife log in with her account/session, in the background, my session is also launched and some tasks are launched (Antivirus, web browser, etc...). This problem wasn't bothering me as it allowed me to log faster, but today, my wife couldn't use Netflix, cause it was already running in my web browser, on my auto launched session.

Anybody knows were does this behavior comme from ?

If it helps : my W10 is up to date, it's an education version, i have Bitdefender as antivirus, Steelseries Engine on autolaunch and my web browser is Vivaldi.

Hi Eric,

The startup programs will only launch once an account has already been logged in (when you log in and your profile loads). It could be possible that the account that you use is already running before your wife logged in to the computer, having 2 active logins on the computer. Can you verify if the issue occurs if the issue occurs when only your wife's account was logged in after a complete restart of the computer? I don't have any data on Steelseries Engine, so I'm not sure if it has any control on any other startup process your profile has.

A good method to isolate the issue even further is to perform a clean boot on your profile temporarily, then test if the issue occurs on the other account. Do ensure that you restart the computer normally after troubleshooting. The instructions are also included in the article.
