Multiple "Service Host" processes slowing down computer

As of the April update, my Windows computer has been running slow.  The Disk section of the Task Manager is showing a percentage of between 98 and 100% at all times.  Scanning through the list of running programs and processes, I noticed 77 Windows processes running and 65 of them were "Service Host:" and then descriptor.  For example, I have COM + Event System, Cryptographic Services, DNS Client and Peer Networking Identity Manager running, just to name a few.

I don't know what these programs are.  I don't know what they do.  I want them GONE!  They, and a program called Modern Setup Host, are severely lagging my computer and I just got it in January.  It has gotten so bad my computer crashed two nights ago while I was checking my email!  I had to reset the system, which means I lost EVERYTHING, and it STILL has these programs eating up 100% of my disk space.

If this keeps up, I'm junking this computer and buying an Macintosh.

This is an ongoing issue with the recent cumulative update. I had to uninstall the cumulative update in order to get things sorted and then block that.

Hi. I am a fellow community member here to help

The recent update have introduced many bugs. I would recommend to Rollback Windows
In order to rid yourself of these issues and return to your previous stable build it is recommended that you RollBack to your previous version of Windows. To do this please follow these steps

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Go back to my previous version of Windows 10, click Get started.

    or

Press Control + Alt + Delete
    Click Sign out

At the Sign In screen, hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen
Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart
Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears

    Click Troubleshoot

    Click Advanced options

Click Go back to the previous version of Windows

This information was obtained from the following official Microsoft Help document
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12415/...

    And from the following thread

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

NOTE: when using recovery options be sure to watch for and select options to "keep your personal files and folders" that way you will preserve your important data

I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance
