I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask it, but is it possible to have multiple remote desktop connections at the same time with Windows 10, or do I need to purchase a Windows Server license? Thank you.

    Hello @$$ANON_USER$$

Yes, you are in the right place!

If the remote machine is a Windows Server operating system:

RDP only supports 2 concurrent connections, if you need more than that, you have to purchase a Windows Server license, and you have to install related server role.

If you want to allow more than 2 simultaneously sessions, RDS deployment with appropriate RDS CALs installed is also needed. The CALs can be purchased from the Microsoft store or other 3rd party resellers.

Here is a link to a set of documents "License your RDS deployment with client access licenses (CALs)" that can walk you through the process of choosing a license and activating it on the server.
