System Restore Error 0x8007045b

Windows 10 Home, tried several times to system restore using methods from this question.

I used cipher /u /n/ h to check for encrypted files, found some from a game from the Microsoft Store which I uninstalled. Still cannot system restore. Tried restoring from RE but got error 0x80070026 instead.

Also gave myself full control over the WindowsApps folder, but that hasn't seemed to help either.

Any thoughts/solutions?

    Hello repost_fish,

We'd like to know more about your concern. Please answer the questions below:

    • May we know the reason why you're trying to perform a system restore?
    • Have you tried choosing a different restore point?
    • Have you installed the latest Windows 10 updates?

As an initial troubleshooting, I suggest that you start your PC in safe mode and perform the System Restore. This will start Windows in a basic state using a limited set of files and drivers.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.
