Input issues with Windows Powershell Prompt

I am attempting to complete labs for a Windows Server 2012 R2 class.. for some reason the prompt window will not allow me to input a colon.

DISM /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Hyper-V

when I type it into the prompt it wont allow me to input the colon.. and the dash/hyphen is tricky too(I have to use the subtraction sign in the numpad to get a dash, since the normal dash key wont work either).

DISM /online /enable-feature /featurename Microsoft-Hyper-V

This produces error 87 and will not allow me to enable it to complete the lab. I have tried a few different ways of trying to get this command to work, all with no success and I am hoping someone might have a suggestion here.
