windows update Error Code: 8024402

Question

Windows 8 update is not installing, pop an error msg: Code: 8024402

I Stopped Mcafee 5.04 also

Logged on  as a local dministrator as well

Kindly guide me to resolve the issue.

Try resetting Windows updates using an automatic script. See:

If that does not work, try installing the latest rollup update for Windows 8.1 manually;
