I have a PC running Windows 10 which was patched recently with the April 2018 Update. On this PC I have a XBox Wireless Adapter. My XBox One Wireless Controller connects to this Adapter.
Before the Update, Windows provided Access to the controller via the XInput interface. I am running a Software which reacts on the XInputs an maps this to certain events.
After the Update this interface ist still working BUT Windows itself seem to react to several events on the XBox One Controller. For example if I press some of the crosshair buttons (without running my custom application), i am able to navigate in "metro-style"
menus like the Start screen or context menus but NOT the standard explorer or any other Desktop Apps (e.g. Notepad++).
To maintain the full flexibilty i would like to deactivate these internal reactions, but i did not find a place where this could be done. There are several locations where you can adjust the controller (like Xbox Accessories app), but this always leads to
the deactivation of the whole event, which disables the event in my application also.
Is there a was to deactivate the mappings for "metro-style" apps/windows without deactivating the events in the XBox Wireless driver?
