I have found wordpad on my W10 and it is now pinned to easily use.  Is it safe to use, please, because a notice comes up asking whether I wish to allow an 'unknown author' to access  it for changes.  Thank you.

Hi Bee, Wordpad is totally safe to use, it is a Microsoft application that comes supplied as part of Windows 10 . . .

Can you please provide a screenshot of this Notice you are seeing popping up . . .

Hey there BeeBee, Microsoft Wordpad should be 100% safe to use. It's a default app that comes with windows.

    Yes, it's safe, but be aware that Wordpad is really just a glorified text editor, not a real word processor, It's fine if your formatting needs are very minor, but if you want a more complex document, you should get a real word processor: WordPerfect (my personal favorite), Microsoft Word, or the free OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
