    Hi Christine,

    1.

If the 2 PC are in the same location:

Microsoft removed the Homegroup functionality in version 1803 of Windows 10, which makes file transfer a bit more difficult

If you have WiFi in your Home, here is how to set that up:

On each PC, create a new folder. right click that folder and choose properties

Click on the Sharing Tab of the resulting dialog and click 'Share'

Then give that folder a Unique Name on your Network

If you have a problem seeing each PC in the Network Section in File Explorer, check this article out on how to resolve that:

Click your Start Button, type Services and hit Enter

When the Services app opens, scroll down to find the 'Function Discovery Resource Publication' service

Double-click that and set its startup type to Automatic

    Then Start that service

Save that and close the Services app

    That's It!

    2.

If the 2 PC's are not in the same location:

Upload the files to the cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.) share those files and send the other person a link and on the second PC, those files can be pulled down from the cloud

Microsoft made changes to networking and removed Homegroup from Windows 1803 and that caused some problems.

Setting up network share maybe not easy task (depend on your computer skills), but when it's done once then file transfer between computers will be easy.

To get you PC's to visible under File Explorer network section then most important part is to start some required services.

Push Win Key and type "Services", locate those services, start them and set Start type to Automatic.

    Services are:

       - Function Discovery Provider Host

       - Function Discovery Resource Publication

       - SSDP Discovery

    • UPnP Device Host

Look more detail from my example with screenshots how to make PC's to show in File Explorer network section, change network profile and setup file/folder shares.

"Easiest" is a matter of opinion, and also depends on how often you will transfer files, how many files and what file sizes.

Here's an easy way: Upload the file to cloud storage, e.g., OneDrive, then download it to the second computer.
