WerFault.exe - Application Error

Question

I left my PC for a while as it updated windows 10 and came back to see it at the screen before the login screen, as expected after an update. I pressed a button to bring up the login screen, but it never appeared - instead it hid the time and date for a few seconds before the screen when black and then returned to the screen before login. After trying this a few times and then re-starting a few times too I tried booting into safe mode by holding shift and mashing F8. Now when I do the exact same thing it comes up with an error message:

The instruction at 0x00007FFD108363D0 referenced memory at

0x00007FFD108363D0. The memory could not be written.

Click on OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

(I tried the debug option, but it didn't do anything - just closed the window)

I am completely unsure of what to do since I can't even login :/

Any advice?

You can try logging in again using safe mode then follow the steps provided by Julie Ram on this linkand see if it resolves your concern. If you're still unable to login, you may need to perform an In-place Upgrade already. This will clean up the system and help resolve system issues. Kindly follow the steps found on this link.
