2018-05-06T20:19:41+00:00 What does the Settings app report? It is possible that UltimateWindowsTweaker is reporting the wrong version number. Go to Settings > System > About, then check the number next to "Version." Common version numbers include 1803, 1709, and 1607.
If you do not have the latest version of Windows, 1803, try downloading the Windows Update Troubleshooter. Go to this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402732...
Click "Download troubleshooter for Windows 10" then run the application. Afterwards, try running the Windows Update Assistant again.
If that does not work, you can try the Media Creation Tool. Make sure to backup your PC before continuing. Go to this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Click "Download tool now" then run the application. On the "What do you want to do?" page, select "Upgrade this PC now," and then select "Next." When Windows 10 is ready to install, select "Change what to keep" to set whether you would like to "Keep personal files and apps," or "Keep personal files only," or choose to keep "Nothing." Make sure to have a backup of your personal data, settings, and applications, especially if you choose to "Keep personal files only" or choose to keep "Nothing."
Finally, if none of the above works, you may need to install a clean copy of the latest version of Windows 10. Download the Refresh Windows Tool from this page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Click "Download tool now" then run the application. This will uninstall all of your applications then download the latest version of Windows 10. You may also have to delete your personal files then restore from backup after; the Refresh Windows Tool will tell you if it needs to delete your personal files to reinstall Windows.

2018-05-06T19:53:17+00:00 Thanks for your reply. I Know how to update manually it didn't work. The latest update did download but it did not install. I have UltimateWindowsTweaker on my system and used it to set my system to show the version number in the lower right corner of my screen. It shows,
Windows 10 pro. Build 16299.rs3_release_svc_escrow_im.180415-0955
Never seen this before. Usually just the version number. Three other systems updated just fine, one of which is a year older than the one which is having this problem. UWT is installed on all the systems so it's not that. Thanks again for the reply.

- Right click on Windows Start > Windows Powershell (Admin)
Type following (or copy and paste following) one by one and Enter
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits

- Type following in Windows Start Search box and hit Enter %systemroot%\Logs\CBS > Rename CBS.Log to something else.
If it doesn't allow you to rename - Type services in Windows Start Search box > Click Services > Scroll down to find the Windows Modules Installer service and double-click on it > Set its startup type to Manual > Reboot your computer
Go to C:\Windows\Logs\CBS > Rename CBS.Log > Reboot your computer > Then go back into the Services App and set Windows Modules Installer Service back to Automatic Startup (Note CBS log files contain information about windows update, SFC etc)

2018-05-06T18:54:15+00:00 Hi Vinny, the latest version of Windows 10 is 1803, also known as the April 2018 Update, and was released one week ago. It seems like you have version 1709, also known as the Fall Creators Update, which was released in October 2017.
Are you trying to upgrade to the latest version of Windows? To do that, you can try downloading the Windows Update Assistant. Go to this page:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
Click "Update now" then run the application.
Let me know if you have any questions or if that does not help, there are more steps you can try.
