Surface Pro deployment

Hi,

I have a question regarding the Windows 10 deployment on Surface Pro tablets.

I am using CloneDeploy software for this purpose and I faced some things that apparently can be a problem in future.

First of all, the boot for CloneDeploy doesn't work on tablets unless the clean Windows 10 OS is not installed (in my case it is Enterprise) - (that's also an issue that I would like to know how it is possible to boot without installing new system)

Second, I was able to boot and run cloning process, but...what makes me confused is that, according to process I see that it copies all 4 available partitions (Restore, UEFI, system and so on).

I have created the image from 1724 Surface Pro 4, and uploaded to 1796 Surface Pro (2017) it seems to work fine, but when I enter BIOS/UEFI settings I can see that information is copied from previous tablet. I suppose because the UEFI partition with info has been copied. It defines that it is Surface Pro 2017, but the 1724 still there instead of 1796.

So, the question is, can it really make problems in future since the partitions were just copied? And is there a way to boot and run this deployment without installing new system before - what can prevent this boot?

Thank you.

Due to the scope of your issue which relates to Windows 10 enterprise deployment, you would be best served redirecting this question to the dedicated Windows 10 forums on Technet.
