Hello,

my notebook sometimes going to bluescreen when returning from standby. I analyzed the memory dump with windbg and get an error message:

PDC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (14f)
A system component failed to respond within the allocated time period,
preventing the system from exiting connected standby.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000004, Client ID of the hung component.
Arg2: 0000000000000002, A resiliency client failed to respond.
Arg3: fffff80d2142be78, Pointer to the resiliency client (pdc!_PDC_RESILIENCY_CLIENT).
Arg4: ffff89088cae7a60, Pointer to a pdc!PDC_14F_TRIAGE structure.

What are the next steps?

How can I find the component? (Arg1: 0000000000000004, Client ID of the hung component.)

The crash dumps do not contain any personal info. Anyway, share the minidumps, not full memory dump unless stated.

    Hello Sumit,

currently I am not sure if sharing dumpfiles will leak personal or business information. My dumpfile has a size of about 700MB.

    Is this additional information useful?

    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0x14F_DAM_IMAGE_dam.sys

Hi sreved, to diagnose the underlying issue, I need to analyse your Mini-dump file(s):

    Open Windows File Explorer

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Zip up the contents of that folder

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)

Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

We need log files(called dump files) that tell us what lead to crash.

Please share them with us for a better analysis of the problem. Instructions can be found here:

Please let us know if you need any assistance about posting dump files.
